Head of Marketing
Juggling my love for physical activity as well as work and full-time uni, working at the Human Connection Project encourages me to prioritise and value taking time out to connect with the people around me and build those relationships. I love that it is a workplace that understands the importance of work-life balance and stepping away from social media and the excuse of being “too busy”.
Head of Culture
When the Human Connection was founded it was a no brainer for founder Matt Boyce to have his mother involved.
Having Denise in charge of company culture means we are forever battle testing our decisions our values and keep everyone along our chain supported and notified on all movements.
Director of Kitchen Operations
Working at the Human Connection Project allows me to use my skill set and passion to work alongside our operations and kitchen team to achieve a massive impact in society.
Going to work every day is such a reward working alongside a team that feels like one big family who works with a 100% selfless approach in everything they do.
Sarah is someone who has been there since the start of the Human Connection Project. Providing constant support to all our community elements and design on new projects. Without Sarah, the Human Connection project would likely be a dream.
Head of Operations
Experienced, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few of the ways I would describe Jimmy. Having Jimmy as the leader of our operations is invaluable.
In 2020 Jimmy is studying a diploma of Counselling to help design and facilitate our mental health programs in schools.
I have struggled to find employment for many years due to my mental health which has increased the number of barriers for me to overcome. But now I have found my place in the kitchen and love my work, I still get anxious at times and I’m able to work through it and still function. I don’t have to go home and isolate after work I’m able to work and function in society afterwards.
Because Matt was willing to give me a go and created a safe caring environment at work I have grown as a person, I have more confidence, I’m able to let people in and not let my struggles overwhelm me.
The Human Connection Project has been an amazing place with such lovely and caring people. Working here has changed my life. I was struggling to find employment after suffering from mental illness for many years and being hearing impaired had also made it very challenging. Matt has given me a chance to work here. The day I received an email from Maxima informing me of employment opportunity I was extremely excited but also nervous and anxious at the same time. I was very worried that after my two-day trial I may not be the right person for the job. Matt from the first day I meet him has been an amazing person to work for. very supportive and compassionate! This opportunity has helped me build my strength and give me back my life. I now have something to look forward to work every week and I'm in love with what I do!"
"I feel a part of something and this makes me food good about my self, my life now has meaning. I feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity."
